FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Hemp oil dosage

What is the difference between Full-Spectrum and Broad-Spectrum?

Full Spectrum contains THC and Broad Spectrum has no THC.

  • Full-spectrum CBD: Full-spectrum CBD contains small amounts of all components of the hemp plant. That means it can have trace amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Federally legal full-spectrum products will always have less than 0.3 percent THC. In states where cannabis is fully legal, you may also be able to find full-spectrum products with higher levels of THC.
  • Broad-spectrum CBD: This type of CBD does not contain THC. It does contain other components of the hemp plant, though, so it won’t be 100-percent CBD alone. Consider it the middle child of the three CBD choices.
  • CBD isolate: Your pure CBD product, isolate contains no other compounds found in hemp, except for the CBD itself.

What does it mean when I see the word "Isolate" in the ingredients?

Isolate is CBD ONLY that has been refined down to a powder. It is not whole plant and is therefore missing all the other cannabinoids, Amino & Terpenes.

Is all of the Hemp Organic?

Not necessarily. Some farms use pesticides that are harmful and not organic practices. GreenTree CBD (Industrial Hemp) is organic and uses Biological Control Agents. Biological control agents, also known as beneficial insects, are predatory mites and insects in various stages of development. By releasing beneficial insects into a garden space, you introduce natural predators to the common pests that damage your crop. Beneficial insects can be used as a preventative measure or for treating outbreaks, saving growers from having to resort to harmful or illegal pesticides.

CBD food products, or products making a health care claim, cannot be certified organic. As a result of the 2018 Farm Bill, farmers in the U.S., can now grow hemp under certain regulated situations. The USDA National Organic Program (NOP) has also confirmed that hemp managed organically can be certified organic.

Are there recommended dosage rates that have been established?

Recommended dosage is typically defined through clinical research trials. There are currently 199 studies being conducted at this time. 284 studies in the US have been completed. Data is currently being gathered.

Antidotal research, suggest to start with a small dosage of CBD and increase slowly until you reach your desired effect. Your ideal dosage of CBD depends on a lot of factors, like your body weight, body chemistry, the condition you’re treating, and the concentration of CBD in the product you’re using.

How long does a typical bottle/package last a consumer?

This will depend on the usage. However, 30 - 45 days is the average.

Can the color of the product vary in shade?

Yes. We do pride ourselves on consistency. However, each harvest can be slightly different in color and concentration.

Will I fail a drug test if I use GreenTree’s topical line?

No. Our products are THC Free. Most companies are ND (non detected) THC. GreenTree invest in the highest quality CBD (Hemp) oil with the THC extracted via a chromatography process.

Is CBD (Hemp) the same as Hemp Seed Oil?

No absolutely not. Hemp seed oil is a highly nutritious oil made from pressed hemp seeds. Hemp seeds and hemp seed oil do not contain significant amounts of CBD. Hemp seed oil is often confused with CBD hemp oil but they are not the same thing.

Is CBD Legal?

On 20th December 2018 the Farm Bill declared that all “hemp” extracts (CBD) are legal agricultural products provided that they contain <0.3% THC. However, each state can govern the cultivation, processing and selling of CBD (Hemp). GreenTree Natural Wellness Center is licensed by the Florida Department of Agriculture.

Industry Cautiousness

Many companies are displaying high milligrams on there CBD (Hemp) labels. However, they are counting all milligrams of the ingredients vs milligrams of only CBD.  GreenTree only displays milligrams of CBD (Hemp) on our labels. Read the labels and make sure the milligrams presented are for active ingredient of CBD (Hemp). Also, review if it is Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum or Isolate.

To price compare CBD (Hemp) company’s products, the price per milligram of CBD should be considered during the review. Example: 25mg CBD (Hemp) for $19.99 is 80 cents per mg of CBD. GreenTree’s Balm Remedy is 500 mg CBD for $45.00 which is 9 cents per mg of CBD (Hemp) extract.
